It's a white sphere encapsulated by oil like rings.

Used Maya and Mental Ray. Rendertime about 48 seconds. Yep, thats right, 48 seconds.

I love this picture and use it as my desktop background. I have been accused of ripping and it was unintentional. I received your picture through a download. I have a picture here [link] This isn't just a picture though because it is a zip file and the picture is just part of the zip file. It also contains my flash clock and my flash calendar to be used as a background as a html document. If you would like it removed please let me know and if you would like for me to change my icon too I will do that. I just want to make this situation ok.

Hope that kind of publicity spreads more.

ooo, should use that third eye o mine to look at the fine print.

Do you usually work with sub surfaces?
Im guessing thats what you like to use when creating characters?

Well ther eis no technique I like to subscribe myself to... I just use whatever I need to for whichever situation. Often I am using all three techniques for modeling characters or objects... just whatever works the best.

I go back and forth between nurbs and polys but have yet to work with subdiv, perhaps I fear it...yes, fear it I do.

This might be my new background.. I normally just have a plain black background or a blackbox-generated gradient something, but this.. hrm.. nice..
