Bout time there was a new Zurd render! This was originally a commission for
CONNECTED MUSIK. He wants to update his logo, and so I did. But he gave me persmission to make a full deviation out of it, so I did.

. She suggested the title as well, cause I'm too uncreative to think of one.
Speaking of which, anyone want to comission us to make you a Zurd render? We will have them do anything, and I do mean anything!
Technical DetailsModeled in Maya, rendered in Mental Ray 3.4.5. Modeling started as a cube, then basic extruding and such to get the feet, then all the way up to the legs then body. Then it was converted to Sub-D's and further edited. Head was always a polygonal surface, as are the eyes and chain. Ground is NURBS. Every single shader in this scene is a custom written shader, except the chains which use the infamous l_glass shader. Lighting was acheived with final gathering ONLY, which was effected by the environment. Reflections were rendered in a seperate pass so the bright cubes didn't change lighting. Booyah.
