It goes back about 4000 numbers.

I vastly Improved The Origin render. If you look, the upper half has a nice light grey gradientish tone to it, and the glass is actually reflecting soemthing that isnt just the plain white ground. You'll also notice a very slight blurred reflection on the ground, as was on the Pi render also.

Blah blah you know the drill... Maya 6/Mental Ray... glass done with custom written dielectric physics shader, plane done with a regular DGS material.

haha i can see where the lack of inspiration comes from with e... its such a colorless number... maybe e is just see-through... who knows...

hahah, very cool render. math teachers everywhere should have this as their wallpapers... or those nerdy kids who try to memorize it.

Thats awesome!! Did you do this 3d render after reading The Da Vinci Code?? That number is supposed to be the perfect number and is found everywhere you look! Provided that you want to sit there and figure out everything mathmatically.

woah! phi!. so cool with it's golden justice. this is wierd cos i have been thinking about phi for the past week, i'm even incorperating it into the flash logo for mine and my friends flashes, then i saw this!. so awsome. awsome job, but i have to ask why you bothered to bevel 4000 numbers when you can only see a few hundred? well i'm sure you have a good reason. awsome work!

outstanding!
I like the look of this one better... and it's my second favorite number... i've tried experimenting a lot with this in my rendered compositions... makes for nice placement.
This is really great... your attention to detail is phenomenal.
The color is superb.

one thing i just thought of... it would have been cool to have this one spiral away, and to have the pi one in a circle... might be an opportunity to redo if you are so inclined :D
