Any way you could put little random-sized holes in it to make it look like cheese? I like cheese...

The cubes look like they're falling. The way you can see all the reflections is amazing. Wow...

This is simplistic, but imensley (spln?) effective wallpaper (looks great in place). It's one of those things you say "All it is a bunch of cubes - I could do that" - then realise you can't. It takes a genius to replicte an idiot's work precisely.

is it hard to learn maya?
Reply
:icondivineerror:
DivineError Featured By Owner Feb 15, 2004
very very hard, espeacially if youve never done any graphics stuff on a computer before. they have colleges that teach only maya, its THAT complicated. it would be easier to start with a program like 3d studio max or bryce to get the hang of 3d before learning maya i think. ive been using it for about 3 years now, and im still finding things i never knew before.

but hey, if you want to get into it go for it. its not impossible to learn, im living proof of that. its very fun to make 3d scenes and render them. if this was my job (it probably will be since i gots no other skills, ha!), i will have a very fun job. i have a great time passing the boredom rendering this stuff all day too.

btw i rerendered the whole scene [link] should look a tad better than the color corrected version

does Vray support physically correct (3D) motion blur? if it does, make an animation of those cubes falling. :)

Well done on the setting and placement.... look almost good enough to touch. The perspective gives the illusion they are spilling out of the screen. Beautiful!
